Dr. Mbodja Mougoué earned his Ph.D. in Financial Economics at University of New Orleans in the United States. He is currently on the Faculty of Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he formerly served as Chair of the Department of Finance in the Mike Ilitch School of Business. He has previously served on the Finance Faculties at Loyola University in New Orleans and Cleveland State University in Cleveland. Dr. Mougoué has also taught at the African Economic Research Consortium in Kenya, Yaoundé University in Cameroon, Kedge Business School in Bordeaux, France, the University of Windsor in Canada, and the National University of Côte d’Ivoire in Abidjan where he also served as a Fulbright Scholar on behalf of the US State Department and the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars.

Dr. Mougoué has published widely in both academic and professional journals. Included among his numerous academic publications are papers in the Journal of Empirical Finance, Quantitative Finance, Journal of Business & Accounting, The Journal of Futures Markets, The Financial Review, The Journal of Financial Research, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Forecasting, Public Finance Review, and Computational Statistics and Data Analysis. Professional publications include papers in The Review of Futures Markets and Energy Risk.

Dr. Mougoué is currently serving as Associate Editor of The International Journal of Academic Value Studies. He is also on the Editorial Review Boards of The Review of Applied Economics and The Journal of Economic Science Research. Dr. Mougoué has previously served on the Editorial Review Boards of Journal of Financial and Economic Practice and American Business Review.

Dr. Mougoué previously served on the Boards of the Citrin Group, an investment advisory firm specializing in portfolio management and Everest Energy, a privately-held company specializing in natural gas production and distribution.
